Merit Lists

A merit list ranks qualified candidates in order of final score and, for state-wise recruitments, is usually issued separately for each state or division. Appearing on it generally means you have cleared the selection stages, with appointment still subject to document verification and a medical examination. Waiting-list candidates are commonly called only if selected candidates decline or fail verification.
