• Electrician: ITI in Electrical or Diploma in Electrical, plus a valid Wireman certificate and required experience.
• Machinist: ITI in specified machining trades or Diploma in specified engineering disciplines, with relevant industrial experience.
• Technician (Drilling): ITI in specified mechanic/fitter trades or Diploma in Drilling/Mechanical Engineering, plus a valid HMV licence and required experience.
• Mechanic: ITI in Diesel/Motor Mechanic/Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering or related fields, plus a valid HMV licence and required experience.
• Mechanic-cum-Operator (Drilling): ITI in specified mechanic/fitter trades or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Drilling Engineering, with the prescribed experience.
• Junior Driver: 10th pass with valid LMV and HMV licences and one year of consolidated light- and heavy-vehicle driving experience.
• Assistant (IT): BCA, BCS, BCCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science/IT/Computer Applications, BISM, or graduation in any stream plus the prescribed one-year IT/Computer Science diploma or PG Diploma.
• Assistant (HR): BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BBM or BSW.

Eligibility & Age Limit

Only Indian nationals are eligible. The essential qualification must be from an Indian university/institute recognized by AICTE, UGC or the Government of India, wherever applicable. The minimum qualifying marks for the prescribed essential qualifications are 45% for direct recruitment to Non-Executive positions; Intermediate CA/ICWA and certifications without prescribed minimum marks require a pass.

The eligibility cut-off date for qualification, experience and age is 01 September 2026. The maximum age for UR/EWS candidates is 30 years for all posts.

Age relaxation is available as follows:

Salary & Pay Scale

MECL Non-Executive posts are paid under IDA pay scales. The advertised range is ₹19,600–₹55,900 per month, depending on the grade.

• W-3: ₹19,600–₹47,900 — Junior Driver.
• W-4: ₹20,200–₹49,300 — most Technician, Assistant, Stenographer, Electrician, Machinist and Mechanic posts.
• W-7: ₹22,900–₹55,900 — Accountant.
