UIIC Administrative Officer (Scale I) Recruitment 2026 - 225 Posts, Apply Online

United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC), a Government of India-owned general insurer, has opened 225 Administrative Officer (Scale I) posts — 200 Generalists and 25 Hindi Officers. Graduates and postgraduates aged 21 to 30 can apply online from 8 September to 28 September 2026.

Who Should Apply

• Administrative Officer – Generalists (200 posts) — Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline (Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science, etc.) with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD)
• Administrative Officer – Hindi Officers (25 posts) — Master's Degree with Hindi and English in a specified combination at degree level, same marks requirement

Eligibility & Age Limit

Generalists need a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university, approved by UGC/AICTE, obtained on or before 30 June 2026, with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Hindi Officers need a Master's Degree with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or medium of examination at degree level, with the same marks requirement. Computer knowledge is mandatory for everyone. You must also meet UIIC's citizenship condition — an Indian citizen, or specific categories of persons of Indian origin/refugees holding a Government eligibility certificate.

Salary & Pay Scale

Basic pay is in the scale ₹82,485-4050(14)-1,39,185-4390(4)-1,56,745, plus other admissible allowances. Gross pay works out to roughly ₹1,10,000 per month at Metropolitan centres. Since exact photo, signature, and other document specs are required, resize your photo and signature to the exact spec before you start. If your degree marksheet shows only CGPA/OGPA/SGPA, convert your CGPA and get a conversion certificate from your university — a 59.99% is still treated as below 60%.

How Are Candidates Selected

Tier I – Preliminary Examination (qualifying, 100 marks, 60 minutes): English Language (30 marks), Reasoning (35 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (35 marks). Marks here don't count toward the final merit.

Tier II – Main Examination: For Generalists, an Objective Test of 250 marks (English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness on the Financial Sector, and Computer Knowledge — 200 questions, 150 minutes) plus a Descriptive Test of 30 marks (Letter Writing and Essay). For Hindi Officers, an Objective Test of 200 marks (English, Reasoning, Professional Knowledge of Hindi/English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge — 150 questions, 120 minutes) plus a Descriptive Test of 50 marks (essay, letter writing, translation). Wrong objective answers cost one-fourth of that question's marks.

Interview: Candidates who clear the Main Examination are called, up to three times the vacancies per category/discipline.

Final Merit: For both disciplines, Main Examination (Objective, plus Descriptive for Hindi Officers) and Interview marks count in a 75:25 ratio — Preliminary and, for Generalists, Descriptive marks are not counted toward merit.
