Airports Authority of India (AAI) is recruiting 129 Junior Executives across Finance, Law, Operations, and Survey & Cartography disciplines, as part of a combined advertisement (No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT) that also covers 260 Manager-level posts. Graduates and postgraduates in the relevant discipline can apply online from 8 August to 7 September 2026, with no prior work experience required for Junior Executive posts.
Who Should Apply
- Junior Executive (Finance) — 36 posts: MBA/PGDM with Finance specialization, or Cost Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst.
- Junior Executive (Law) — 6 posts: A professional law degree (3-year after graduation, or 5-year integrated after 10+2), with eligibility to enrol as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India.

No post-qualification work experience is required for any Junior Executive post, unlike the Manager posts in the same advertisement, which need 3 years' experience.
Eligibility & Age Limit
Maximum age for Junior Executive posts is 27 years as on 07.09.2026, the cut-off date for age, qualification and experience. Age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 10 years for PwBD candidates in posts identified suitable for their disability category, 5 years for eligible ex-servicemen, and up to 10 years for candidates already in regular AAI service who have completed probation. Only Indian nationals can apply. OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be valid specifically for financial year 2026-27, and SC/ST/PwBD certificates must be issued on or before 07.09.2026.
Salary & Pay Scale
Junior Executive (Group-B, E-1 level) sits on the IDA pay scale of ₹40,000 – 3% – ₹1,40,000, plus Dearness Allowance, Perks at 35% of Basic Pay, HRA, CPF, gratuity and medical benefits. AAI states the approximate CTC for Junior Executive works out to about ₹14 lakh a year — a solid package for a fresher-eligible PSU post, though actual take-home depends on posting location and applicable allowances.

How Are Candidates Selected
For Junior Executive posts, selection is a Computer-Based Test (objective type, no negative marking) followed by Application Verification. Unlike the Manager posts in the same advertisement, Junior Executive posts (Post Codes 12–15) do not include an interview stage. Only candidates shortlisted from the CBT are called for Application Verification, where original certificates must be produced; provisional selection is based on CBT performance, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria and medical standards.
Why This Job Matters
AAI is the Mini Ratna Category-1 PSU responsible for building, upgrading and running India's civil airport infrastructure and airspace. A Junior Executive role here is an entry point into a stable, well-paid central PSU career with defined pay progression, and this cycle's 129 Junior Executive vacancies span Finance, Law, Operations and Survey & Cartography, giving graduates and professional-degree holders from several different backgrounds a way in without needing prior work experience.
The FreshersLike Take
This is a strong fit if you already hold the specific professional qualification for one of these four disciplines (MBA-Finance/CA/CFA, a law degree, Engineering/MBA, or a survey-related degree) and want a stable PSU career without needing work experience. Think twice if you don't already hold one of these specific qualifications — unlike many entry-level government exams, AAI Junior Executive posts are not open to any graduate, so a general degree alone won't qualify you for most of these four disciplines. Practical tip: selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India, and colour blindness or night blindness is a rejection criterion for most posts except Finance-related ones — if you have a colour vision issue, check the medical standard for your specific post before investing time in the CBT.
Documents Required

- Disability certificate via the Swavalamban/UDID portal, if applying as PwBD
- Discharge certificate, if applying as an ex-serviceman
- No Objection Certificate from your current employer, if already working in Central/State Government, an Autonomous Body, or a PSU
