Educational Qualification
- Tradesman
- Essential: 1. I.T.I Trade Certificate in Mechanic/Diesel/Fitter/Turner/ Welder/Electrician/ Instrumental/Carpentary 2. X/10th Std pass or equivalent 3. 2 years experience in Engineering/Automobile/Ship Repair organization.
- Desirable: 1. Experience in FRP Lamination and repair work (Fiber class Re-enforce plastic) 2. First aid/ Fire Fighting/Industrial Safety Course.
- Seaman
- Essential: 1. X/10th Std pass or equivalent. 2. Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel with two years in helmsman and seamanship work.
- Desirable: 1. The Marine Mercantile Department awarded a certificate of competency as a “member of fishing vessel.”
- Greaser
- Essential: 1. X/10th Std pass or equivalent. 2. Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance.
- Desirable: 1. Certificate of competency as “Engine Driver of fishing vessel” issued by Marine Mercantile Department.
Age Limit
- Tradesman – Not more than 25 years
- Seaman – 18 to 25 years
- Greaser – 18 to 25 years
Relaxation of Upper age limit:
- +5 Years for ST/SC
- +3 Years for OBC (NCL)
- Persons with Disabilities candidate:
- +10 Years for UR
- +13 Years for OBC (NCL)
- +15 Years for ST/SC
- For Ex-Servicemen Applicants: As per Govt. Policy
