Educational Qualification
| Post Code S2401, S2402, S2403, S2404, S2405, S2406 Essential Educational qualification: Ph.D. (Submitted) in Chemistry / Chemical Sciences or Equivalent Desirable Qualification and/or Experience: 1. R&D Experience evidenced by Publications in SCI Journals/ Patents in the area of; (i) Electrochemical water treatment processes and removal of organic / inorganic contaminants; AND/OR (ii) Electrolytic processes involving electrocatalytic approach for hydrogen generation through water electrolysis; AND/OR (iii) Corrosion aspects of metalsmaterials / concrete structures and control methods; AND/OR (iv) Synthesis, fabrication, evaluation & scale-up activities of energy storage systems such as batteries (Liion, Na-ion, Redox Flow & new generation rechargeable batteries) and supercapacitors; AND/OR (v) Development of process for specialty chemicals and coating techniques especially electro-plating and electrometallurgy processes. AND/OR (vi) Electrochemical synthesis of organic molecules of unique selectivity towards oxidation, reduction & functionalization. AND/OR (vii)Development of various catalytic & flexible platforms for electrochemical biosensor applications. 2. M. Sc. (or M.S. as applicable) with Chemistry or equivalent as the major subject of study. |

R & D experience in the area of electrochemical science and technology evidenced by publications in SCI Journals/ holding patents / developed technology in the area of: (i) Corrosion & Failure analysis and its control methodologies AND/OR (ii)Design and modeling of electrochemical energy conversion and storage systems; AND/OR (iii) Development of high throughput catalyst materials for electrochemical applications; AND/OR (iv) Electrochemical reactor design, scale-up, process optimization for chemical synthesis, drinking water and waste water treatment. 2. Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in disciplines related to Chemical Engineering / Electrochemical Engineering or equivalent |

R & D experience in the area of Electrochemical Material science & technology evidenced by publications in SCI Journals/ holding patents / developed technology in the area of; (i) Electrometallurgy / electro winning of metals through hydro / pyro metallurgical routes in the area of critical metals AND/OR (ii) Surface Engineering & coating technology of smart /functional coatings by chemical, Electrochemical, PVD/CVD Techniques for tribological/ corrosion resistant/energy applications AND/OR (iii) Development of metal powders for additive manufacturing AND/OR (iv) Converting electronics wastes into value added product – waste to wealth concept [e.g. recovery of lithium metal from spent lithium batteries] 2. Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in disciplines related to Metallurgical / Materials Science Engineering or equivalent |
